We eat here a couple times a month. Great food and friendly staff. Best Chinese food around!I highly reccommend it.

Service wasn't very honestly friendly and the shrimp chow mein had very little to it as it was simply noodles a few onions and very small shrimp. Very small portion. I wouldn't buy from there again which is too bad as I just moved here only a few blocks away.

We are here often. Food is fresh and fast. The staff are fun and efficient. The prices are exactly what you'd expect.

I came upon the Wai Heung on a Saturday at around 1:00 pm and it was deserted. They have lunch specials which are traditional non-traditional Westernized favourites but they do have a good menu of more traditional dishes I’ve tried and liked. This time I tried a special - lean sweet and sour pork with fried rice. If you get steamed rice the special is $8.95! $10.95 if you have it with fried rice. A little on the sour scale but it’s probably the best sweet and sour on the island (which granted doesn’t say much as the Chinese food in Victoria isn’t fantastic). I thought the food was fresh and excellent. I’ll be back again. Very clean inside and the service prompt and polite. Of course I was the only on there at the time!

I quite enjoy going to this restaurant every Tuesday. I've tried quite a few places in the neighborhood. This one differs because of good people working there and really nice and tasty food.

Great food. I have tried it all on the peninsula but Wai Heung always delivers a great meal. All of the flavours are unique and the ingredients are fresh. I normally see the same gal up front and she is always running and working hard to get it all done and keep the takeout rolling. I stopped trying all the others for the last year now as Wai Heung is now my place. You have my loyalty because you do a great job. 5 stars!

The owner used to operate Lin Heung on Shelbourne than decided time to retire. Over time due to boredom they decided to start Wai Heung at this location. Food quality, taste still maintained except quantity has shrunk in portions. Overall my opinion, it's still worth visiting.

Ordered food for pickup several times and have been very happy with the quality. Definitely better then most places in Victoria. Not greasy, no msg, and friendly service. Definitely recommend trying this establishment.

I just moved to the area, but have ordered from here twice for take out. Have to say the food is really really good, tasty, and fresh.

Wish I didn't have to give a star. Waitress) +(not sure if she is the owner) was so rude & 7 of us met up to have lunch there... She was annoyed that we asked for drinks... She was annoyed that we reminded her of our drinks she forgot about... She didn't take one of our orders and was shaking her head because we walked to give it to her... Never going back.. Check out Sidney good fortune or Sidney buffet if you want friendly service.. You won't receive it here.

I have been here a few times, great place for take out Chinese food, not too long of a wait, reasonable prices. Please note this is a restaurant set up, but they only do take out, I waited about 15-20 minutes.

Good food, always hot, always ready on time. I find the portions are perfect. Parking lot is kind of small when multiple ppl are doing pick up especially when ppl are parking there to go to the pub across the street.

It's a bit of a hole in the wall, but the food is good.

I don't particularly like most Chinese restaurants anymore, because they are usually very greasy. This is one of the best places that I've ever found. I have never been disappointed with any of their dishes, (although I still find their egg rolls to be quite greasy). But aside from that I give them a high rating as far as Chinese food goes.

Excellent, best Chinese food in the Greater Victoria area! We just moved to Saanichton so this was our first time ordering and it was outstanding! Food was piping hot and super tasty, probably the best chinese food we have had including when we lived in Victoria and the most reasonably priced too. This will definitely be our go-to for chinese food. Highly recommend!

Before you go by the not perfect rating of this restaurant, please read the reviews and realize that 2 sub par reviews came from people angry they couldn't get the best chinese food in town in July.Yes, they take some extra long breaks some times. They even care about their staff.A+

Ginger beef was ok but everything else tasted and smelled like it had been cooked in an old frying pan that you pulled from a musty old basement corner and didn't wash before using it.
